Well, that's not suprising, It's probably "An Ardent Feminists' Holy Bible" for those who find those patriarchal terms offensive. Pass the salt, please.

Three reputable organizations based in North America---Wycliffe Bible Translators, Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL), and Frontiers---made the new translations.
Why, then, were the words removed?
Get a load of this: They are offensive to Muslims!
Whoa---that explanation sure came as as a surprise! The Motley Monk never, ever expected that one.
Strange as the explanation may appear, the fact is that the new translations are intended to assist missionaries in their efforts to evangelize Muslims. For example:
- Wycliffe and SIL produced "Stories of the Prophets," an Arabic Bible that uses the Arabic equivalent of "Lord" instead of "Father" and "Messiah" instead of "Son."
- Frontiers and SIL have produced "Meaning of the Gospel of Christ," an Arabic translation which removes "Father" in reference to God and replaces it with "Allah," and removes or redefines "Son." For example, the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) reads: "Cleanse them by water in the name of Allah, his Messiah and his Holy Spirit."
Speaking about those who adamantly oppose the new translations, an Arab American who runs Middle East Resources, Reverend Bassam Madany, believes that opponents represent "a Western imperialistic attempt that's inspired by cultural anthropology, and not by biblical theology."
So, is it correct to say "Allah's Messiah is consubstantial with Allah"?
